The Baking Room is an American-style bakery founded in 2016 to bring the authentic taste of American home baking to Belgrade. Even with pekare on every street we saw a lack of places to enjoy the taste of truly authentic American style baking, and so the idea for The Baking Room was born.
When I moved to Belgrade from Chicago in 2014 with my husband and three sons, I wanted to make sure to bring with us the tastes of America and especially the baked treats we all loved so much. I baked for birthday parties and gatherings of family and friends to share those flavors with our loved ones, and dessert always seemed to be the most awaited part of the meal. The Baking Room concept was developed after watching my desserts disappear almost faster than I could take them out of the oven. My husband gave me the idea to open a catering service to share authentic American baking with the Belgrade area.
I believe that desserts taste best when baked fresh using the same ingredients and techniques used in home baking. I use my family's recipes passed down to me through the generations, fresh ingredients, organic from our own garden when available, and traditional baking techniques of home kitchens taught to me by my mother and grandmother.
The Baking Room offers a full range of American style baked treats and desserts including cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pies, cheesecakes and much more. Everything we offer is baked fresh to order the same day.
